Taking place on Father’s Day itself (Sunday 16 June), Denbies winery has a ‘Father’s Day On the Lawn’ event, which sees homemade stone-baked pizza being served alongside wine and beer tasting, all set to live music by singer-songwriter Luke Edney. The perfect present for wine connoisseurs, Denbies also offers a range of wine-tasting experiences. The food and wine pairing at the Vineyard Restaurant includes the vineyard’s award-winning wines matched with local produce, all tasted while you look over the wine estate.

He’s always a winner at Brookland’s Museum, Weybridge
Head off to Brookland’s Museum on 16 June and you’ll be transported back in time at the Brooklands Relived 2024 event. There’s Gatsby-style entertainment, live music, and a 1930s-style café and bar. Meanwhile, actors – and many visitors – dress up in vintage clothes to bring the era alive. He’s the bees’ knees at Albury Organic Vineyard, Guildford
Taking place throughout the summer, but also on Father’s Day itself, is a unique Beekeeping Experience at Albury Vineyard. Dad will don a beekeeping suit and learn more about the life of bees with Sergio, the on-site bee farmer. Included is an introduction to the equipment and tools used by bee-keepers and any participants can handle the beehive frames and enjoy a close-up view of the busy workers. After the demonstration, it’s back to the vineyard patio for a Q&A with Sergio, while enjoying a glass of Albury’s award-winning sparkling wine (and the chance to buy some honey). Albury Vineyard is also home to a host of events this summer, including vineyard tours, wildlife walks and crafting experiences. Why not make a weekend of it and visit on Saturday 15 June, for the Albury Wine Festival, which celebrates the vineyards of the Surrey Hills? The day will include tours, tastings and masterclasses with wine experts as well as artisan food and wines from other local vineyards.
